The tip tap, also known as the chip groove tap, is mainly used for the thread cutting operation of various through-hole materials. The lead tap has the same straight groove as the general straight groove tap, but there is a specially designed spiral groove in the front end of the cutting part, so as to push the cutting from the lower part of the hole. Because the tip tap has the function of rotating and discharging chips, it not only protect the screw thread but also protect the screw thread.

In addition to reducing the cutting resistance and avoiding the damage of taps caused by cutting blockage, the cutting tap can cut high-precision thread at a faster speed than the common straight groove tap.
